There are two ways to decorate this kind of cookie. The first one is to simply sprinkle the unbaked cookies with a sparkling sugar or crystal. Another way to decorate it that has become more popular is the magic that comes in the royal icing. The baked cookies must be frosted with a royal icing.

Listed below are the ingredients and instructions on how to make delicious sugar chocolate cookies.

Ingredients:

Ingredients needed to make the Royal Icing:

* 2 tsp of lemon juice (fresh)

* 3 cups or 345 grams of confectioner’s sugar (icing or powdered), sifted

* 2 large or 60 grams of egg whites

Ingredients needed to make a Sugar Chocolate Cookie

* 2 eggs (large)

* 1/2 tsp of salt

* 2 and 3/4 cups or 355 grams of flour (all purpose)

* 1 and 3/4 cups of white sugar (granulated)

* 1 cup or 227 grams of butter (unsalted), room temperature

* 2 tsp of vanilla extract

* 3/4 cup or 75 grams of processed cocoa powder (unsweetened Dutch)

* 1 tsp or 4 grams of baking powder

Instructions:

For Sugar Chocolate Cookies:

Whisk together the cocoa powder, salt, baking powder and the flour in a large bowl using your electric mixer’s bowl or you can just use a hand mixer. You must beat the sugar and the butter for at least 2-4 minutes until it becomes fluffy and light. Afterwards, you must add the eggs one at a time. After doing so, add the vanilla extract and beat it until it’s well combined. Then, you must add the flour mixture and beat it until it becomes a smooth dough. You must divide the dough in half and then wrap each of the half in plastic wrapper. Refrigerate it until it becomes firm enough for you to roll or at least 1 hour. Preheat your oven to 355 degrees Fahrenheit or 177 degrees Celsius and place the rack inside the oven. You must line two baking sheets together with a parchment paper.

Remove half of the dough in the refrigerator. Then, you must roll the dough on a floured surface. Roll out the dough until it is at least 1/4 inch or 1 centimeter thick. You can cut out different shapes you like using a cookie cutter and then transfer the cookies into the prepared baking sheets. Place the unbaked cookies inside the refrigerator once again for 11-15 minutes to chill it. This will prevent the cookies from losing and spreading their shapes while you were baking them. You must bake the cookies for about 10-12 minutes depending on their size or just until you see the edges are already firm. Remove it inside the oven and just let it cool first in the baking sheets before you transfer them to a wire rack for it to be finished cooling. You can make at least 36 pieces of delicious cookies with a size of 4 inches using this recipe.

For Royal Icing:

Using a hand mixer or your electric mixer, beat the lemon juice and the egg whites. You must add the sugar at a medium speed until you see them smooth and combined. If desired, mix in food coloring. The icing must be transferred to an airtight container or be used immediately as it hardens easily when it is exposed to air. Just cover it with a plastic wrap when you’re not using it.

* 1/2 cup of cocoa powder

Combine the butter mixture with the cocoa mixture. You must scrape the sides of the bowl until you see them completely incorporated. Into the wet ingredients, add the salt and the flour. Blending it with an electric mixer or hand mixer will allow the mixture to be thoroughly

combined. Once all the above-mentioned steps are done, you must refrigerate the cookie dough for at least 30 minutes to firm up. While allowing the dough to cool, you can now preheat the oven to at least 350 degrees. Also, with the help of a small ice cream scoop, you must scoop out the balls of cookie dough. Place the scooped cookie dough on a parchment-lined cookie sheet. Make sure that the dough is at least 1 inch apart from each other. Bake the cookie for at least 10 – 15 minutes. You can be sure that it’s cooked if you insert a toothpick in the cookie and it comes out clean.

To make a chocolate ganache, you have to melt slowly the chopped or bittersweet chocolate in your microwave. You must add some cream and you have to whisk it until it becomes thick and smooth. And after doing that, you must place a zip-top bag, and you have to squeeze out the air first before sealing it. And from the bottom of the bag, cut a small corner on it. Into the center puddle indentation on each of the cookie, you must pipe the chocolate ganache. If you happen to have any left over in your chocolate, you can use it to muzzle it across the outer edges of your cookies. Listed below are the ingredients and detailed steps on how to make delicious raspberry white chocolate cookies.

Ingredients:

Filling:2 ounces or 60 grams of grated white chocolate

1/4 to 1/2 cup, of raspberry preserves or raspberry jams

Bread:* 2 cups or 260 grams of all-purpose flour

* 1 tsp of pure vanilla

^ 1/2 cup or 60 grams of powdered sugar

* 1 tsp salt

For breads, hasten the flour with salt in two different bowls.

In your electric mixer or hand mixer, the butter must be beaten for at least one minute until it is already smooth. Also mix the vanilla and add the sugar and stir or mix for two minutes until it is completely smooth. The dough must be flattened into a disk shape.

Get a plastic wrapper and wrap it carefully. You must refrigerate the dough for at least an hour.

While refrigerating the dough, you can now preheat the oven to 350 degree Fahrenheit or 177 degree Celsius with the rack in the center of it. Then, line the baking sheets and the parchment paper.

Roll out the dough in a floured surface until it’s about 1 centimeter thick or 1/4 inch thick. You must use a 5 to 7.5-centimeter or 2 to 3 inches round shape cookie cutter or any shape that you like to cut the dough.

For example, you can use a heart shape or maybe a square depending on your preference and sometimes depending on the occasion. Run your own creativity in making perfect raspberry white chocolate cookies.

Place the cookies apart on a prepared baking sheet for about 2.5 centimeters or an inch. You need a smaller cookie cutter to cut out the middle or centers of half of the white chocolate cookies on the baking sheets. This procedure is about sandwiching or joining two cookies together and there must be a small cut out underneath the cookie so that you can see the raspberry jam underneath of it.

For about 15 minutes, you must place the unbaked cookies in the refrigerator. This will stabilize the dough so that the original shape of the cookies will be maintained. Bake the cookie for about 10 minutes or until it turns light brown. After this, let the cookies cool down on a clean wire rack. Dust the cookie with confections such as icing or powdered sugar for added flavor.

At the bottom of the cookie, spread about 1/2 tsp of jam with a little sprinkle of chocolate (grated). After that, place the other cut out cookie to gently sandwich them together. You can make at least 12 raspberry cookies with this recipe.

What is a chocolate truffle?

A chocolate truffle is a chocolate confection in a round, conical, or curved shape. It is usually coated in cocoa or chocolate, but could be covered in nuts or coconut. The truffle is filled with a variety of fillings such as cream, caramel, nuts, berries, and liquor with the most common being a chocolate ganache.

A ganache refers to a filling for pastries. It is generally made from heavy cream that is heated and poured over dark chocolate. The mixture is stirred until smooth and can be enhanced by a liquor or extract. It should be two parts chocolate to one part cream.

What types of truffles are available?

There are three types of truffles available: American, European, and Swiss truffles. These types vary by ingredient, and length of storage life.

American truffles are shaped like half an egg and are covered by chocolate. They contain a mixture of dark and milk chocolate with butter fat and/or hardened coconut oil. A Canadian version includes graham cracker and peanut butter.

The European truffle is made with a cocoa powder and syrup. It also contains milk powder and fat.

Whatever method you use to form the truffles, you will need time to form the truffles so keep that in mind when allocating time to make them.

Once the base is formed, you can just simply roll truffle in cocoa powder or you can cover it with chocolate. This is a traditional truffle.
